I tried to take advantage of the switch bonus advertised. I need to switch a joint Account so therfore I need to open a joint account. Cant get through to anyone on the number given by the online chat. How does one get to open joint account in order to switch.

With Lloyds, you can only open a joint account in Branch.
Why not open two sole accounts, and switch two sole ones?0 -

One of you can get things started by opening an account online. You will both then need to come into Branch to make this a joint account.

No face to face in branch. Hence the dilemma0

I am trying to do the same and did manage to get through to a live person eventually today. The phone system is horrendous isn’t it. But the very nice rep told me that while they’re no longer making appointments for us at the local branch (as their website says) but we can just go in, take the necessary proof of identity, they will copy it then phone us later at home to complete the switch. She said our local branch is open, have you checked yours?Downshifted
