cst law

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice. I had a demand for a parking fine from 2 years ago. I did challenge at the time as there was no signs to say I was parked in a private car park, but there were 2 others car parks in the same area that were well signed and had meters to buy tickets, but not the one I parked in. I provided picture evidence to show no signage and there was no meter to get tickets to display, plus after doing a google map search I had found that there were signs there from previous years to show that it was a private car park. So the big question is, do I pay or turn up in court?

Thanks all in advance.

  • Why would you turn up in court......
  • No, the big question from us is - do you have a letter before claim?

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the

scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

2 years ago the appeal was upheld by euro car parks. i went back to them, but did not hear anymore, so thought it was the end of that. Had a letter today saying they will take me to court.
