My living situation is "uncertain" at the moment and I may need to move home at least once
I can get virgin home broadband in my area and as I have been with them previously, they offered the 30 day contract 100mb at £27/m with a £80 setup fee and a £50 refer a friend scheme (effectively £30 setup)
I also looked at mobile internet, but not sure the signal in my area. Currently with EE with no signal problems. I travel frequently, so this would be useful. I would look to get a mifi or router that could use a SIM (any ideas?) Could get unlimited mobile internet with Three or Vodaphone for around £12/m after cashback. Three I have heard have signal problems and vodaphone limited to 2mb
NowTv do 11mb home broadband around £30/m but with £60 setup
All others, even EE & Vodaphone home broadband seem to be 12m+ contracts
Any help greatful!

I've got a MIFi unit which I use when we are caravanning and we've used it at home when the broadband was down for several weeks. We have a FTTP connection for normal broadband at home but the MiFi is useful when out and about (you could also tether to your mobile phone or use it as a hotspot if your provider allows)
I use a Three 24gbit for 24 months prepaid sim (about £45-£55 depending on where you get it from) as we only use it for browsing and e-mails. We can get between 2 and 8mbit's where we live (out in the Cambridgeshire Fens). Last week I was getting a good solid 24mbit/s up in North Norfolk and we've been to places where nothing works at all. I
I'd suggest that it's probably worthwhile lashing out on a couple of cheap prepaid sim cards from Three, EE and Vodafone to try out in the location where you want to use it most to see which, if any are going to give you a satisfactory service. Bear in mind that streaming using the 4g network can work out pretty expensive unless you can sign up for an unlimited data deal.
As we only use it when away the 24month prepaid sim works for us but might be a bit expensive for normal day-day internet - only you can decide what sort of data plan you need, possibly a rolling monthly one would suit rather than signing up for a year. You can get an unlocked MiFi unit from Amazon or E-bay or even use an old mobile phone as a hotspot (which we've done on occasion)
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
