DVLA lost my identity and records

I am currently in possession of a Jersey driving licence but need to exchange this to a Spanish driving licence but heyho Spain does not exchange licences from Jersey but.......Jersey will exchange a Spanish licence for a Jersey one with no hassle or red tape.

I had an idea that if I could obtain my previous UK driving licence number then Spain may accept this and exchange my licence but....... the DVLA don't recognise me on their records and will not tell me how I can prove I am a real person. I am 99.99% certain that the information I gave the DVLA is correct as of 1989 when I last had a UK licence. 

I know GDPR is supposed to be there for our own privacy and protection but how do you get round it when you cannot be identified and pass security on yourself.

So you haven't lived in the UK for nearly a third of a century...?

Presumably, your last contact with DVLA was telling them that you were emigrating, so your UK licence was no longer required?

They will locate it but you need to verify your details and previous address. I guess you have a bio metric passport and how did you get you Jersey licence? Ssurely Jersey with have your UK licence details

You mean they may locate it. There's a good chance the record is long gone.
