Sept 2020 - Lloyds PPi claim update

I filed a PPI claim years ago using Martin's template letter but was turned down through lack of evidence. I then made another claim through a PPi reclaim company, just before the cut off, and was told quite quickly that it was also unsuccessful and that my case was closed.
So I was both surprised and sceptical when I received a call from a 'private number' claiming to be from Lloyds PPi Claims Dept to discuss my case. As I suspected it to be a scammer I cancelled the call, and they called back immediately and left a voice mail with a number to call them back.

I then called Lloyds customer services to check and was reassured that it was genuine.
So I called the number they left (01422861599) and was informed that they had now 'found' the evidence and have re-opened my case. I had to answer about 20 minutes of probing questions about my employment, health, savings etc. All fairly difficult to remember as It referred back to 1990's.
I'm now waiting for a final decision to be made. So fingers crossed. Wish me luck.
