County Court History

Hi
I am taking Enzos Homes Limited to the small claims court over unfinished work on my new home. His solicitor's defence is that by exchanging contracts on the day we purchased and moved in we waived all rights with regards uncompleted work. The same can be said for other residents who are due to appear as witnesses. Enzo Sauro promised (verbally) work would be completed and we shouldn't delay exchanging contracts.
You can Google the CEO Enzo Sauro and Enzos Homes Limited and you quickly find media reports of him being fined for cutting down Oak Trees or dancing naked at agricultural shows.
I believe other owners of properties build by Enzo Sauro's company Enzo Homes Limited have successfully won small claim court cases.
Is there a way I can search for all of his previous court appearances and study their outcomes? Presumably they are in the public domain?
Thanks
Louis

A list of county court judgements can be found here https://www.trustonline.org.uk/ there is a small fee.You won't find any actual details though other than who gained the award and the amount.0

There are services like TrustOnline which will give you details of the CCJs for a fee (£6 from memory) which will include the case number, amount awarded, court and judgement date etc but they won't give you the claimants details or a copy of the judgement itself. A quick google of the company name however shows that there are many variants (eg Enzos Homes (Cardiff) Limited) so could get expensive if you want to search all of them.
I've never needed to get hold of a county court judgement so don't know how easy it is to do, I have needed high court judgements and those are readily available online at places like bailii.org. Looking at one a random CCJ reference number they don't appear to be published on any of the resources I use. Maybe call or email your local court to confirm before spending monies - I believe that not all judgements are passed down in paper form and therefore info may be limited on the case itself if judgement was verbal.0 -
I don't think the fact that ES danced naked at an agricultural show will have any bearing on the outcome of your case against him.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Details of ccjs aren't published. They have no significance legally so there isn't any need. You can buy a transcript from the approved providers but it's eye wateringly expensive and not worth it unless it's for a very good reason such as an appeal.Sandtree said:There are services like TrustOnline which will give you details of the CCJs for a fee (£6 from memory) which will include the case number, amount awarded, court and judgement date etc but they won't give you the claimants details or a copy of the judgement itself. I've read High Court transcripts, but they were provided to me and so didnt have to either locate them or pay for them, and some of those are heavy going. Also had to provide to the courts transcripts of telephone calls with customers which is always a bit amusing when the recording picks up things said whilst the customer was on hold and so the customer assumed no one heard what they said.0 -
I know. Just an example of one of the things Enzo Sauro is locally known for.lincroft1710 said:I don't think the fact that ES danced naked at an agricultural show will have any bearing on the outcome of your case against him.0 -
I am not interested in CCJs as they are paid, nor the value. I'd mainly just like dates of his court appearances and if his defence lost. I know lots of customers have won their claims, I'd just like to quantify.Sandtree said:

If a ccj is paid within the time stipulated by the court it doesn't get recorded. If you see a judgement on trustonline then it wasn't paid quickly and is an active ccj. They list the dates the judgements were registered. If he entered a defence (and he may not have bothered) then it lost as he has a ccj. If it won he wouldn't have one.ldare2020 said:

Do CCJs appear in the Companies House record for a company?0
