EON Powerdown adaptor with QLED TV

I've had an EON Powerdown working perfectly for a number of years with my Samsung plasma TV. Put the TV into standby, ~ 30 seconds later all power to peripherals and the TV goes off. Got a new Samsung Q85R in April but I've had a continuing problem of everything shutting off in dark scenes, presumably because the current being drawn is too small. Even setting the picture to "dynamic" doesn't guarantee that it will not shut down !! I've set up the adaptor several times for the TV.
I guess my Q is :- Has anyone got one of these devices to work with a QLED? Don't want to buy another and have the same issue. Thanks.

The dynamic picture options aren't actually dynamic in the way you think they are, the effect is just to make it look better in daytime viewing when the suns out, but that's the only real "dynamic" thing about it.There may be an option for energy saving elsewhere in the TV settings which may generate better results.0

Thanks.I have an old B&W TV with a 20 inch screen that you can borrow if you like ?It is in a nice walnut cabinet with double doors - the single speaker is bass heavyThe only problem may be the lack of USB or HDMI or any other input than an analogue but I am sure that adaoters are available ?The advantage is that the licence is cheap !

Nobody sets their TV to 'Dynamic'.....Do they?
What peripherals are you powering down?
My Samsung Q powers off when the peripheral is turned off, or, when it's told to by Google home.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
