Should they have adjusted the skirting boards when I got new flooring installed?

It was laminate with some kind of underlay. It fell apart as a combination of being very old, a small toilet leak, and the fact the cleaner used to mop it and leave the water on it to dry, plus the fact it's in the bathroom with a shower.

Also without fail everybody visiting the property would pick at it and there was a large hole that got progressively bigger every time I had a viewing, which was very irksome. I get the floor needed replacing but it's a bit cheeky to damage it further for no real reason.
  • Ok - so the original laminate job was probably done the right/long way i.e. the skirting was removed before fitting laminate and then replaced at that floors height
