Wifi booster question

We have Sky Q and they want £5 a month to boost the signal to reach rooms in the top of our house.
A booster costs about £12 so will it work with Sky Q?

It might work. But get a well known make, e.g. Netgear or TP-LINK and buy from Amazon where you can return it easily whrn it doesn't work.  How far is it from Sky Q router to top of your house?

Thanks everyone.  I have just bought a secondhand Sky booster, SE210 so will see how that works.

Have you checked the wifi signal and interference with other channels from neighbours?
If not - you can get a free app such as WiFi Analyser from Google Play store (other apps are available) and swich your wifi to a less congested channel if there is one available.

Well I set up the Sky booster and the difference all over the house is amazing, pages load so much quicker. Well worth buying.
