Hi, Can I contact bank directly about my application if I dont have an application number? I applied Via Broker and they have not supplied me a filled application, When asked for it they are saying it has some sensitive information about the company and they cannot supply that, Also when asked for the application number they are not providing it easily, I am trying to be nice, but looks like I have gone to wrong broker...
@ashok.198311 You can, but some lenders will not interact directly with the client if the application has been submitted by a broker. It's a bit weird that the broker is refusing to supply a copy of the application, the only "sensitive information" on it is usually client personal data.

Is there any particular reason you want to see it?
Not particularly, I thought it's better if I know the application clearly rather than not knowing anything about what has been submitted to the bank.

@ashok.198311 Fair enough. I only asked because I only very rarely get asked this information by a client. Anyway, it's usually easy enough to get a pdf of the info submitted.

Sure Thanks, When I asked for this info my broker is bit hesitant to supply this information so bit concerned what is all the information they supplied about me, after all it's my application so I should get a copy of it. when I asked for a application number they have not sent it. When I ask for an update they will just say the bank asked for another proof and ask me for another document, It's just bit frustating...

@ashok.198311 The lender will be able to pull up your application using 2 or more of last name, dob, address, property address. You don't need an application reference.

Have an application in progress with Kensington. They have asked for employer reference and are awaiting contact from our employer. What are they looking for exactly? Both my wife and I are doctors in a specialty training programme and therefore on temporary contracts. My training finishes July 2022, my wife’s July 2021. We have supplied contracts of employment which demonstrate this. Of course there aren’t any unemployed doctors so I hope they won’t hold that against us!
  • Hi was wondering if there are any brokers who would be willing to look through my situation and advise me on if they belive I would be successful in getting a mortgage or what I would need to do as now considering buying?  Thanks

@gbear1 If you can share a bit of detail, happy to give my thoughts on your scenario.

Hello,    do you think me and partner have any chance of getting a mortgage this year,  i have a CCJ that is due to drop off in june then just leaves me with a default (4+ years old) i have 2k on credit card that is reducing every month. and also 4 year ago i used pay day loans about 4 times   (when credit was bad i thought this was a good way of showing i can pay things back  :-1:   we live n learn) other than that paid everything ontime no missed payments no other debts   my partner has great credit and also has  £2k on credit card.   we have saved up 23k in a ISA that is including the 4k we are waiting to put in after april which will get a 1K bonus on top. we could be gifted 10k if really needed but its not a route we would like to go down tbh as we kind of want to feel we have done it ourselves.    is it worth even getting my hopes up i will get a house any time soon after ccj falls off.  the houses we looked at are anything upwards £170k+.  oh yeah i earn £40-50k a year with overtime but i presume they would take the lower amount and my partner £24k

    thanks for any info

@2006eyo Based on the limited info in your post, you *should* have options with a 15%+ deposit. What kind of lender/rate options you will have will depend on the details.
