Universal Credit - Housing aspect?

No £876 will not be your UC amount. You need to work out what your maximum UC amount will be then add your wages together, minus the work allowance (£292 if claiming housing element) Then take those deduction away from your maximum UC amount. A benefits calculator will tell you all of this.

No. The £876 is the earnings deduction which is taken off your maximum UC amount. The maximum UC amount will be your personal couple allowance of £594.04 lists child element of £235.83 plus the housing element. The housing element itself will be restricted to the two bedroom rate for the postcode https://lha-direct.voa.gov.uk/Search.aspx - £498.33 based on your earlier post.Lwag said:
"Remember when your wife is back at work they will deduct 63% of her earnings, rather than the 100% they deduct for her MA. So the deduction will be (your combined wage - £292) x 63%, if claiming housing costs"
£1,240 (My wage) + £443.00 (Wife wage) per month = Total £1,683 per month
£1683 - £292 = £1,391 (x63%) = £876.00.
So does this £876.00 work out as being the Universal Credit amount (Thus ADDED to our monthly wage combined)? So £1,683 + £876.00? It just seems like a high amount. Hm!Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -

Do be aware also that UC standard allowance has been increased by about £90 per month because of Covid19. This is expected to return to it's normal amount in April 2021.

Because i'm an honest person and i wouldn't ever live my life any other way... and this includes lying to a possible landlord/agency.Lwag said:
I do have to wonder - Why would there be any issue (Such as guilt/lack of sleep) for not declaring if you are on Housing Benefit however?
