Hi,
Appreciate any help here - after enountering a virus my e-mail messages come up with a .dbx extension to them. Are there any free programmes out there that can open these .dbx files. Cheers

You can get Mail Navigator. It will let you open and read the files.I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the [highlight]Board Drunk[/highlight] for this board. Not sure I understand the problem. Outlook Express stores your e-mails in files with the .dbx extension (e.g. Inbox.dbx). Where these files are stored can depend on your operating system and how OE was installed. If you do a search for files named *.dbx on your harddrive you will find where they are stored. I would guess that something has been changed during the virus episode. Can you post more information about what the symptoms are and what was done when virus was removed etc.0
