Hi everyone,
Ruby, it's very frustrating isn't it. Steve's cataract that he got from the steroids he was on is getting worse and there is still no word on an appointment. If it goes on much longer I think we will have to look at the cost of private treatment.
dp1, I'm very particular about my pillows (dunlopillos) and take them everywhere I go (unless it's impossible). My sis-i-l calls me the princess and the pea and it's true that I find it difficult to sleep in strange beds and my pillows help.
We're home, got here about 11 last night after a marathon packing up session. We managed to get everything in the car though and the house is ready for the first visitors since February. I'm on a mission to declutter this house now, it needs it.
Esben had a taster session at nursery yesterday, Laura said he enjoyed it although he got upset once and his keyworker said "Do you want to go to mummy for a cuddle" Brian said not to so Laura just asked the woman to sing to him which worked. He loves music, there is a strong musical heritage in my family (completely passed me by) and in Steve's. Laura plays flute, violin and piano so hopefully Esben will play some sort of instrument.
Must go, I have a parcel to collect and the sorting office now closes at 10.00 am!14 -

Morning
Rosy its tough one to admit isn't it but she makes me cringe so much with how much I can relateI sadly can only blame myself
Glad some got the food !!!!!! mag deal and the timing should mean a free calendar too which is work a fiver itself (assuming they are doing it this year of course)
Gym day today so wish me luck trust me to pick one of the hottest days of the year!
Finally managed to cancel the hospital appt after hours of no answer goodness knows when that will be arranged but hopefully they will give more than a days notice. This was not the year to have anything wrong it seems its disgusting that you are still waiting Rubes particularly when private ops are still on
Right best sort some shoes out that will fit my swollen right foot wish i could go in my slippers!

Morning all, the sun is out again ! It's going to be another warm day.Dad is coming over for lunch and tea just in case we go into local lockdown as the cases are starting to come thick and fast now, last month it was perhaps 1 case in the whole month
The consensus seems to be that it all started with a house party in the city, which is about 7miles away.
I don't plan on doing anything much today except cooking and relaxing. On the menu will be steak pie, oven chips ( I was the only one who voted for roasties ) veg and gravy for lunch and toasties, followed by ice slices for tea. I can hear the lbs creeping back on already ! I do have the Dw to empty and also the bins to bring in later when they have all been emptied. Oh stop this excitement !!Dumpling I hope Lee is ok at college.TA hope the meds work quicklyNelski good luck with Jim sorry GymSnoozer another one who takes her pillow everywhere, Dunlopillow latex. I could do with a spare one for Justin, but they say the new ones are not as good now...... and blummin expensive !!Take care all, stay safe and keep well.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
Morning all! Is there a different time dimension in the mornings like the shopping zone for women that I don't know about? I swear there must be because as far as I know, I've just got up, had a cup of tea and suddenly it's two hours later and I'm just starting to come round...And when I made my cup of tea, the boiling water made the mug crack, thankfully not in half, just straight down one side. Managed to chuck it into a another mug before too much of drained away [I didn't realise it had cracked, I just thought I'd missed the cup with the kettle], juggling hot tea in the morning was quite funny looking back at it. My sister bought me those mugs over 8 years ago I just realised, they have lasted well, shame it's broken though, it was a lovely big mug with thin walls...The hospital have phoned, the going in appointment has changed to a phone appointment, which is fine by me, I can slob about a bit longer. And the wood is finally coming today. I went yesterday and had a chat with him, seems he was under the impression I was waiting for a certain type of wood, I managed to convey I wasn't, he's going to cut it and deliver it today. Result! So the rest of the day is the usualy, riddle a bit more [I can only do a wheelbarrow or two a day and it's surprising how little it covers when it's chucked on the floor], more lesson [ this time we are visiting theatres and places of work] and finish stripping the paint from the door that's going to be a table.DUmpling, hope Lee can get to the bottom of it and keep going. TA, I don't think it's that bad really, I remember paying that for jabs for my cats years ago. Camelot, I think that was always going to happen. The kids might not be so vulnerable but the staff certainly are. Happy moving day Hester! AOD, it's a strange year, things keep changing, it's difficult to keep up mentally too. A lack of routine for me has also been a bit of a problem. I feel I don't achieve anything without one but achieving things is bit silly really. Maybe it's purpose I lack...Ruby, money certainly does talk. Rosy, lucky escape, I'd be tempted to report them to the police for dangerous riding. You're not supposed to ride quads in parks. Glad you remained whole and well! Nelski, have fun with the super terrorists! Hey all reading along, I hope you're doing treats on Tuesday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

Afternoon all
Had Covid test on Monday so if I don't hear anything back from the hospital my op is going ahead on Thursday, so I am in lockdown anyway. I won't be packing my bag until last minute though.
Still waiting for an MRI scan and to see yet another consultant, unfortunately on the hospital web site there is a minimum 34 week wait!
Got all the beds stripped and washed today, the duvet covers and sheets all dried in half an hour it is so warm
We are still having to make an appointment with our local tip and you can only do it every two weeks and we have so much stuff that needs to go up there.
DH says he is just going to burn a lot of it, it is too much hassle going through the rigmarole of phoning the council, that is when you can actually get through...........
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
