Yes I was pleased a fit person got a ticket at the hospital for parking in a blue badge only area.
I was in our car, BB displayed whilst my DW went in for an appointment and when the offending driver came back she had a go at the official saying the pay machines were not in use so she could park there. She said she had done it several times as it was close to the entrance and she was in a hurry!
Never thought I would approve the issuing of a parking ticket!

Different strokes for different folks. While I abhor the misuse of disabled parking bays, nothing is as straightforward as it looks in these circumstances.Were you waiting in the car for your DW while she went for her appointment? Did you need the disabled bay? Were you entitled to use the bay?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

You can't use a disabled bay to just sit in, if it's you who has the Blue Badge.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It is my DW who has the badge and she was in the hospital, crowded waiting room, clinic running over 1.5 hours late!
She admitted to the parking guy she was not disabled and thought that as the hospital had suspended payment for parking she thought she would park in the disabled area because she was late and that was the nearest to the hospital entrance.2 -
Sometimes the scammers actually inflict their tactics on the right people as it appears here.

Agreed , just a shame that the OP did not clarify matters in their opening post , as to whose blue badge was used in the vehicle , because it's the lady with the appointment who had the right to use the bay
The other lady that got a PCN is an idiot and deserved the punishment4 -
