buying house with artex ceiling - asbestos scare

    You don't need to remove the whole ceiling to remove the artex.

    This was the contractors of the insurance company.

    They had to do other subsidence cracking repairs. I think they have to go on the side of caution, because the contractors are dealing with such things all the time and have to be kept away from any asbestos risk.

    If people do skim over their ceilings etc to cover up asbestos. Then they have a water leak above, they would still end up with my state of affairs anyway, I presume? If they claimed on insurance and it was deemed a valid claim.
