Pet insurance for new puppy

We're getting our puppy at end of month. From when should I insure him? Right now, or wait until we get him? I was looking at PetPlan are they the best bet?

Petplan are the best value, but not the cheapest.
if your puppy is coming from a reputable breeder it would come with a couple of weeks insurance while you get organised
If it doesn’t, you may want to consider what other corners are being cut.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
You cannot insure it until you own it as you have to declare ownership and that it loves with you.
But, if the breeder dos not give you a free month's insurance then start it from the day you get your puppy.
There is usually a 14 or 21 day period excluded for illness at the start of the policy so you want it insured from day 1.
If the breeder gives you some free insurance then either continue with it or start another policy.
You might want to look at Bought By Many who offer a range of policies.
Th best is to get lifetime cover which reinstates each new policy year.so you are covered for any ongoing claims. This type of policy is dearer but worth it if your pet develops an ongoing condition.
Vet fees are often higher than you expect so make sure you have a decent amount of cover.
Enjoy your puppy.1
