Dart Charge account closure -
Anybody else get a Dart Charge account closure email today? They say, "In accordance with our terms and conditions, your account will be closed if it remains inactive for a further 90 days. You can keep your account open by topping up your balance or by making a crossing in a vehicle which is linked to the account."
Seems a bit cheeky. I have £7.65 on the account, but don't see why I should have to add another £10, or go for a long drive, just to keep the account open.
A lot of other people who have been staying home will soon be getting these. Seems a bit unfair under the circumstances!

They will refund you the balance if you call.1 -
Dragging up an old thread, but I have also fallen victim to this but equally do not want a refund and my account closed, I simply want it left open as a semi regular user of the tunnel and bridge. However given recent instructions to stay at home and only travel when necessary, it seems reasonable to expect that this set of T's&C's to be suspended to prevent people simply going through/over to keep an account open. If I setup another new account, top up with the minimum £10 there is no guarantee that the advice will have changed in 12 months time to allow non-essential travel in which time I will have simply given Dart Charge £10. Time for them to support the public in this pandemic than profiting (no matter how small) from it.0
