Volvo c30 glowplugs
2007 diesel manual c30 1.6. 99000 miles.
How long is piece of string question. When should glow plugs be replaced ? If one goes does it present any safety risk ? Anything else to be concerned about at this mileage ?
Really wondering when to get rid. Full service history and never scripted on maintenance.

They should be replaced when they fail.
Safety? No. Common rail diesels don't even tend to use the glows for starting - they do use them once the engine's running, to help reduce emissions, though.
The big problem with the PSA-Ford 1.6HDi/TDCi that you've got is oil sludging - hopefully, your not-scrimping includes oil changes with the correct oil at LEAST as often as the schedule, and checking the injector clamps are tight at every service. The Volvo-built engines don't seem to be as badly affected as other installs, though.
