Octopus Electric Smart Meter Size

Hi,
I am planning on joining Octopus energy and getting a smart meter so that I can go on either Octopus Go or Agile.
Below is my electric box outside after having a switch and EV Charger fitted.
What is the size of the smart meter?  Will a smart meter now fit in this box?  Perhaps by moving a few things around?

Removing the old meter will free up enough space for a smart meter

But you're not supposed to fill the meter box with random electrical stuff.  It's supposed to be kept free for the electicity supplier's equipment.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

    As Ectophile.

Who fitted the EV charger point?

Does the meter box belong to the supply co.

The box may normally be supplied by the co., but may be installed by a builder.

Or is it all under the stairs☺  On rereading op, its outside.  :'( Ù

    Good luck.

  • The isolator switch was fitted by the DNO.
The mini consumer unit (the white box) was fitted by BP Chargemaster.
The box where it is all encased is outside, recessed in to the brick wall.
  • It depends which model they have in the van but the meter plus communications hub on top is likely to be a very tight squeeze. If I had to guess then I would say there's not enough space.

The mini consumer unit really shouldn't have been put in the box, it should have been in its own waterproof housing on the wall.
  • Meter box is part of the fabric of the building, owner of the building can put whatever they want in the meterbox.

Its classed as part of the fabric of the building because it removes responsibility of the box from the supplier/shipper to the homeowner.

... of course they can, still doesn't make it a good idea to clutter it up like that though...
