Recommendation on an Electronic Ballast?

Hi All,
The light in my main bathroom has stopped working, I ordered a replacement light and its still not working leading me to believe it is to do with the electricals. All other lights in the flat are working.
I have taken the casing apart and I believe I need to replace the Electronic Ballast, can someone confirm if I am along the right lines? If so, is anyone able to provide an idea of where I can get a replacement? Everywhere I have looked online tends to be slightly different model and I not sure if they will be compatible.
Is this something I can do myself, an electrician call out for just a simple replacement is ridiculously high.

Thanks in advance.

As long as the rated wattage & current are the same, it shouldn't make much difference as to which make/model you get as long as it fits the available space. That said, it might be worth considering changing the light fitting for one that uses a cheap & more common bulb - Those CFL tubes can be quite expensive and not very environmentally friendly.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

DD had the same problem so I removed the inners and fitted a normal lampholder and an LED bulb1

I take it the lamp is a 2D 16w, be aware they come in 2 pin and 4 pin versions. I,d be inclined to replace like with like ballast.
Yours appears to be a 4 pin 16W according to the wiring.0 -
Can you show us a pic of the lamp fitting and of the lamp showing the pins (new and old lamps)0

Sorry for the delay, I have been away. I have purchased a replacement ballast and the light now works well, however, there is no slot for the earth wire to go in to the ballast, what do I do with this wire? Is it safe to leave it unattached to anything?
The ballast I have purchased is this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-92802330-HFM-Red-118SH/dp/B001GPLLU6/ref=pd_vtp_201_2/257-5583245-1640523?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001GPLLU6&pd_rd_r=487ddbd3-a6a1-4720-8823-f7538806b354&pd_rd_w=ZJAkH&pd_rd_wg=3El7y&pf_rd_p=768b5a93-0842-4c9d-8f7f-107f5eb91a6d&pf_rd_r=ZQRSCWCBEC72Y0QJCZR2&psc=1&refRID=ZQRSCWCBEC72Y0QJCZR2
Edit: Just to add, this is for a ceiling light in the bathroom and the casing is plastic.0
