Well done guys! I hope mine will be the same, mine is also a new build. I'm hoping with our income and deposit they can push it through, literally a bag of nerves!0

Congratulations This is brilliant - and you must have a great broker. Well done0

You'll be fine. You're using a broker so they wouldn't be putting it through if they didn't think you'd get it. I could've cried everytime we hit a bump in the road, its been the worst 4 weeks. But brokers really are worth their weight in gold, they've been brilliant. I'm the worst person ever at just relaxing and trusting that people know what they're doing... but they really did in this case. If you do hit any bumps just try not to tell yourself it's the end of the road, it definitely isn't!Firsthomehope said:Well done guys! I hope mine will be the same, mine is also a new build. Halifax were super quick at processing my application. My application was pretty straightforward and I did it directly. Within 24 hours the hard and soft checks were done and valuation instructed. They issued my offer the day the valuation was done.
The surveyors were a few days late booking the valuation (gave their number to the EA to get it moving) and Halifax issued my offer by post which took over a week to arrive.
12/08: Application submitted over the phone. Uploaded payslips and showed my ID at branch. Soft & hard credit searches.
13/08 Valuation instructed
24/08 Valuation booked
28/08 Valuation carried out. Offer issued
07/09 Offer received by post.

I'm currently playing the waiting game:
23/10 AIP
23/10 Full application - soft and hard searches
26/10 Valuation fee paid in the morning
26/10 Email from my broker to confirm the valuation is booked for 04/11
28/10 Email from the broker to say they'd spoken to Halifax who has agreed my case subject to valuation and no other information is required and that the valuation will be a desktop valuation on 04/11. She said that as long as the valuation is ok, they will move to make an offer.
I'll keep everyone posted.

It shouldn’t be long if the valuation fee has been taken and it’s been booked. That’s normally the last thing they do before finalising. Our valuation was booked Friday and by Tuesday we had the offer so it won’t be long for you trust me. I can’t believe I am actually saying this to someone!
We will receive the paper copy in a few days, we have to send plans and signed suff to our solicitor. We need to show proof of the deposit to our solicitor (thought they had it already)
and then the solicitor and the broker will instruct us when we’re ready to exchange.
Good luck and let us know!2 -
