Ryanair charges to rearrange flight

I was due to travel to France early June booked pre-COVID. I paid to rearrange for August but decided not to travel due to the quarantine. I wanted to rearrange for next June but dates were unavailable so booked for February. The alternative was to lose my money which is now £400 for a flight that originally cost £160! I wrote to Ryanair to ask if they would waive the fee when dates are available and I change again. They didn't even read my letter. I received a standard response which basically just said no. Is there anything else I can do?

when did you try to rearrange? Ryanair released summer 2021 flights in May this year (much earlier than usual) are they showing available now? (if not they are unlikely to be operating)
