brought time safe

I just purchased a timer safe of Amazon so I can lock my bank card in, this is to stop me spending money on alcohol daily. I have poor impulse control. Has anybody else done similar and have you Benn successful with it?

Why do people post 'brought' when they mean 'bought:
People might have intellectual disabilities. Judgmental much?

I haven't got my actual card out of my wallet for months, I have my card details stored on my phone and internet browser.
Something like this is a bit gimmicky, I reckon.
It could only work if you put every single payment method you have in here and don't have alternatives like being able to use your phone.
What happens if you need to buy something legitimate?

Nobody is judging, people are just criticising.
  • If I had the urge to buy alcohol, I don't think that particular 'safe' would keep me out for long. If you are experiencing problems with alcohol, you should give Alcoholics Anonymous or similar a ring. Trying to deprive yourself of the ability to pay for it is a very short term solution and is not addressing the underlying problem.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.
  • I have one and I use it for things like chocolate to stop me scoffing the whole bar in one go :)

    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

Why do people say "Its" when they mean "It's"?
