Tymit - Cannot Transfer Balance

I’ve recently gotten a 0% balance transfer credit card from MBNA. After attempting to balance transfer to my Tymit Credit Card, I was informed they cannot do it because the Tymit Card flags you as a debit card and not a credit card. Does anyone have any advise on what I can do about this?

It’s not a traditional credit card so I think you will struggle. Are MBNA offering you a money transfer? You could do that and use it to pay off Tymit.0

Yeah, that’s my second option. I’ve sent a message to Tymit support, so I’ll see what they come back with, but it is looking likely that money transfer is likely to be my best option here.bazzyb said:It’s not a traditional credit card so I think you will struggle. ....But a balance transfer card is not a money transfer one - so if you use the MBNA card you may be charged a fee and interest.StarFang said:

I’m not sure of the correct phrasing. Take the outstanding balance from Tymit and transfer it to MBNAD3xt3r5L4b said:BT too the Tymit card or from the Tymit card?0 -

That would be “from” then.

From Tymit to MBNA.As others have said it’s not “strictly” a credit card - it behaves more like a store card would.1
