I have a Samsung J6 mobile phone.
When I receive a call, I can hear the other person but they can't hear me through the mobile phone and speaker.
The only way is if I can manage to put headphones in whilst the other person is on the call. This is very rare, as they put the phone down.
So only through headphones I can have a conversation.
Any help please?
Thanks

Factory ResetCould be settings or hardware .0

JJ Egan - Thanks, but this will mean I have to reset my phone from square 1 and would take some time.0

In that case eliminate settings as the cause .

Excluding the headphones.
On normal answering the call, I can hear the other person but they can't hear me.
Any tips, I don't think factory reset would resolve this.
Thanks

Sounds to me like a faulty headphone jack. The microphone is on the same board.

Mister G - thanks, headphones work fine, no problem.
It's without headphone the other person can't hear me but I can hear them.
There is a very very small hole next to headphone slot. Anything I need to do with this?

Take it to a repair shop 😪0

Yes, they can replace the microphone (very, very small hole) and headphone jack as one component. Shouldn't be too expensive.

What's the reasonable price to replace microphone? I guess Samsung would charge bit more?

If it still doesn't work, yes it's hardware.1
