Agree RE: main dealers not always being better.
I'm having a similar problem after buying from a main dealer.
My car has an issue that they are supposed to have fixed prior to me taking delivery of the car.
Again, an issue that you can't replicate unless you drive the car yourself.
Whatever they did wasn't the fix it needed or it has failed again 6 days after picking up the car and I'm being treated as a nuisance.
I've been told to call Monday and they will advise or might try for another fix.
Fingers crossed for both of us that the second attempt will fix the issue!
Makes you wonder what else is wrong with the car.
Have you thought about asking another unaffiliated garage taking a look?
That is my next plan of action.0 -
I've purchased a second hand car on finance at a dealership and started giving problems (engine fault) 6 weeks later, I've been to the RAC garage as I have a premium warranty they couldn't fix the problem. I spoke to the dealership they said to bring it to another garage and I did. They said low engine oil topped it up and the car now has become worse can I return it?0
