CANCELLED CREDIT CARD REFUND

Hello
We have had a credit card stolen whilst abroad in Greece. We cancelled the card straight away but we had a pre auth of €280 from Enterprise rent a car as a deposit. The car has been returned and they advise the money will be released within 10 days. But since the card has been cancelled where will this money go? It is a Halifax credit card and it is my only card with them i do not have a current account. Enterprise could not refund a different card as they advise the deposit had only been blocked and not actually taken. Any advice would be appreciated.

It should still go on the credit card account and you will see it once you have a new card.3
