Sorry I am so late again. When I picked up the tablet to resume reading, it was totally out of charge.
Please, if anyone is planning on moving, get a re-direction in place. The people I bought this house from neglected to do so and no one seems to know their new address. For nearly a year now I've been writing, "Return to sender. Not at this address," on the many envelopes arriving for them and the same firms, banks etc have continued to send stuff. Yesterday a package was deposited on my doorstep with no senders name on the wrapper. I took it down to the local post office and they shook their heads and said there was nothing they could do. So when I got home I opened the parcel.
It was an appointment with a clinic for yesterday, and a box containing an enema for use before keeping the appointment.
I'll ring the clinic on Monday, so if anyone is in urgent need of an enema you'd better act quickly. First come first served, so form an orderly queue.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Nothing makes a person more productive than the last minute.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.10 -
Good afternoon everyone
I'm just grabbing 10 minutes to myself as Steve has taken the dogs out for their daily constitutional. I have spent part of the day knitting and making up a racoon for Lilly's boyfriend for Christmas but I am fed up with it now and need a break as it is hard to knit and sew up black yarn.
The grandchildren have just left as they popped in to see us for an hour which flew by. I hope they will come over tomorrow as well with their mum this time.
We are having a fend for yourself tea as no one wants to cook and we can't afford another takeaway this week. I don't mind as I am happy with a toasted sandwich.
Lilly has got herself a job where Phoebe works but doing front of house stuff whilst Phoebe works in the kitchen. I am so pleased for her as her savings were beginning to run out. She is such a friendly hard worker I hope they keep her on for a long while. Just her boyfriend to get a job and then Phoebe is going to move in with them in a shared house. I will miss her loads and loads but she is nearly 21 and wants her independence of course. Once she is settled I will be looking to downsize as there will only be the three of us here and I don't think Lee will stay with us forever. Ideally I want a 2 bed bungalow so we may be lucky if we can get a house exchange. We have a 4 bedroom house which is rare around here.
Right, I'm off, hope you all enjoy your weekend, take care xx
