I wouldn't say that there is one.  We can offer an insurance backed guarantee through the FMB, for which you pay a % of the build cost dependent on the length and level of cover, but  we've never had a client take it up.

You really want it built properly in the first place.  Prior due diligence is the key.  If you've done a lot of reading on the House Buying board, the NHBC type warranty is worth very little, though the FMB cover is broader.  

We had to have a warranty on our self build if anyone wants a  mortgage in the next 10 years.  When I sought advice as to what to go for, the answer was "the cheapest one that is accepted by most lenders - you're not going to build it badly are you!" which was a fair point. As for clients, historically they have always had a better job than I have on my own house! 🙄
