Sounds like Wolverhampton to me-----the geographical guesses are the only fun part of this thread.
Other than that, most other posters have already said what I would imagine anyone would tell you.
You can't complain about what may be a nice bunch of young people BEFORE they even move in, especially when you suggest in your o/p that you have a brothel in the house on the other side of your Mum's house. Words fail me about your post !0 -
Well, the main thing is how does your mum feel about it? If she's ok with the noise, then that is the main thing. If not, then she should move. You clearly are not, so you should move.
I'd advise you moving out, and then keeping an eye on mum. If she wants to move, then help her out. But if she doesn't, you have to respect that decision.
Be careful with going in with guns blazing, remember your mum has to live there. I'm not implying that you don't do anything, but be careful to choose your battles and consider what you do before you do it.

"Being in such an area as you can imagine is a constant nightmare, every term is noisy with anti-social behaviour"
"due to previous noisy neighbours i find it very hard to be civil.."

It is certainly down to your Mum....but if she did decide to move think a sale would go through quickly even if complaint needed to be disclosed....where there is student housing in an area usually indicates investors want to buy and create more. Think the property would sell - just watch in case the look but a block on sale for multiple occupancies.0
