in Credit cards
We have lived in Spain for 17 years, however, our pensions are all paid into a UK bank. Today we received an email from Barclaycard informing us that they can no longer provide us with a CC after October. Any advise will be greatly appreciated as we need a Stirling CC. Thank you

You'll probably be hard pressed to find a UK lender who will lend to a non-UK resident. Who operates the UK account you pension is paid into - perhaps they might offer you a CC? If not, you'll likely need to look to Spanish products for options.0

Why do you need a Sterling (not Stirling) CC if you live in Spain?0

Do you have any family in the UK>?
I have read other posts about this whereby if you can provide a UK address you can keep your accounts.0 -
While some may do it. Other will not let anyone not living in the UK apply for new bank products.jonesMUFCforever said:Do you have any family in the UK>?

So even using a family members address will fail as they will not be able to prove that address as their residence. If they managed, they may still find it shut if they realise all spending is out of the UK.Life in the slow lane1 -

Thank youSo...What are you looking for?A Credit Card that can be used in the UK? The ones from Spain should work.Or, A UK account that your pension can be paid into? You can pay straight into a Spanish account using the IBAN and BIC.Or, Both?HSBC and Santander (more banks probably) have plans that let you have multiple currency accounts, but no CC as far as I know (Not sure what minimum account balance has to be!). Curve would allow you to spend at good transfer rates but wouldn't allow any direct deposits, TransferWise would give you direct deposits but no credit card. If you spend a good bit in the UK then I can see why you don't want to convert money multiple times.0
