I’ve signed up to be tested as part of this trial. I didn’t realise the woman who turns up each week was making £130 a day. That’s pretty good really.
    What’s the trial called?

Whilst it’s not illegal to conduct private trials; I’d be looking at the details.
It’s run by the ONS and is the main way that the spread of COVID is being tracked across the country. They’re testing hundreds of thousands of people.

It’s perfectly legal, you don’t need to worry 😉
Every Week that's interesting, All i i've been told is i'd be working all around the midlands not a set area 8 hours a day so maybe sandwell to pick up one test then Coventry next etc,5 days a week but contract stats it could only be one
The ONS trial is a 12 month study. You are tested once a week for 5 weeks and then after five weeks it moves to a monthly test. It’s quite good as I’m working from home anyway so I’m in and I get paid £25 each test (£50 the first test).

If you’re the swab collector it’s pretty easy I think as you’re not allowed in any houses so you basically turn up, hand over the pack. The person swaps themselves and then hands it back. It’s pretty low maintenance.
Depends on the mileage tbh you also have to make sure u have business insurance, breakdown cover etc could cost you depending on the hours you get.Would love to hear if anyone is doing it fulltime and the mileage they do weekly

I suspect they had huge numbers of people sign up for it, way more than they need.

£130 a day for a driving job is pretty good, and 45ppm is a fair mileage rate.
  • More of theses coming up it seems on indeed
