Hi,
On the outskirts of London and been quoted 34k for a 20m2 extension. It does not include the windows.
Basically it's at the back of the house, knocking down the external back wall to make a large open space for a kitchen/diner.
Also should there be any specific questions I ask in regards to whats uncluded before I agree?
For example should I ask about electrics? This is all new to what, I;m not sure what's normally included in a quote.
Thanks

you need to get a very very detailed quote a full breakdown on what the £34k includes as they could be only quoting for the shell + roof and thats it the rest is upto you and will be extra etc....ofcourse you need to convay what you want in terms of fittings for eg:How many sockets.light fittings do you want and where do you want themSame for Radaiators, flooring what type + do you want a sky light or not, do you want underfloor heating or not, is the boiler going to get moved in the new kitchen if so is that included etc... lots and ,ots to think about plus you need at least 3 quotes to compare themtake a a4 paper and write down what you want and who's going to cover what etc... this is the reason people have a lot of issues with trades as they dont specify what exactly they want and hence the problems that come after. the point is you need a very detailed quote for the build“People are caught up in an egotistic artificial rat race to display a false image to society. We want the biggest house, fanciest car, and we don't mind paying the sky high mortgage to put up that show. We sacrifice our biggest assets our health and time, We feel happy when we see people look up to us and see how successful we are”
