Sweden added to the safe travel list
A country which didn't lockdown, have masks or scare their population to death. The pandemic is OVER there.
Yet, our leaders are talking about a 100bn testing scheme for us to watch a sporting event.
We seem to be going backwards

I am rather glad as I was meant to be going there October half term. I am a bit bemused though as on the 8th they were around 10 on this page....

...but today they are at 28 🤔🤔0 -
It takes about 3.2 seconds to find out sensible information about the social and economic affects of coronavirus on Sweden. It takes a bit longer to understand how the approach taken there was more geared towards their specific cultural and demographic circumstances.
its then a short step to concluding that trying to compare Sweden with the UK is a totally pointless exercise.

RyanHello said:The pandemic is OVER there.
1. It became a pandemic because of the number of global infections and that is still the case. The number of infections in one specific country doesn't affect whether or not the pandemic status is still applicable.
2. Portugal was moved to the safe to travel list because infection rates fell but the virus was still present and due to the infection rate increasing again it finished up removed from the list only a few weeks after it was added.1
