Access Road & Parking & agressive caretaker

If that paved area is a RoW, then nobody should be parking on it. Both parties have access to pass over it - the garage owner to use the garage, the owner of the other property to access their parking spaces.
The S-type and Mondeo should not be parked where they are in the pics.0 -
S-type? I thought that was a Skoda badge. (If you're talking about the cars parking in front of the garage door).0

Why does this old codger care about the flags if he doesn't own the property?
No you clearly aren't responsible for the cost of the flags. However, you don't have the right to park on the paved area in front of the garage.
You should certainly speak to the owner about this old codger's behaviour though.0 -

...not this putty-beige-elastoplast Skoda.
The Jag and the black Mondeo are parked what looks like nose-to-tail on what (AIUI) is the RoW in question.
Parking on the RoW makes it harder to move the Mazda and Yaris when the Audi's parked there, and makes access to the Audi's space much harder.1 -
No one should be parking on the ROW
The damage to the flags however is not your problem although you are a causative factor by obstructing the ROW with parked vehicles.
The driver would be free to not drive over the flags and come and ask you to move your car instead1 -
I found the owners address and visited her yesterday. She looked at the footage of the caretaker behaving the way he did and I explained everything. She was shocked at his actions and told us she was happy with us parking one car outside the garage. The damage to the flags is not my responsibility, they can be easily navigated. So all is well, we've agreed a compromise and the caretaker has had a shot across the bow and will now hopefully leave us be. He would block us with that Audi just to be awkward. Fingers crossed its all behind us. Thanks for everyones input, helped us alot 👍1

Whether the owner of the other property agrees that parking one car on the RoW is reasonable or not doesn't set any future precedent.
One thing's for sure - them parking to block you would be no more or less wrong than you parking to block them.0 -

Must say I'm a bit surprised the owner's happy* for you to park there - I'm not sure I would be if I were her. As others have pointed out, "passing and repassing" does not allow parking. I take it she doesn't live there and the property is let out and the other cars belong to her tenants? It might be interesting to see if she's still so happy to accommodate you if her (paying?) tenants find their access at all impeded. I wouldn't look on her current agreement as any long term solution. (Especially if she sells the property). Also, if you had been parking two cars(!) there, I'm not surprised it was causing trouble. Did you not think it would?*But she's obviously quite easy going if you'd previously tried to gain ownership of that strip of land and she wasn't bothered. See what her tenants (if that's what they are) think2
