Dry verge

I am getting the whole roof replaced and regarding the dry verge, I am unsure as to whether to go for plastic or cloaked tiles. The difference I have been quoted for cloaked is £1550. As far as I am aware, apart from aesthetic benefit, there is no other advantage. Please could some one with more knowledge about this advise and also, if it is worth it? Thank you.

The plastic will last 30 years tops, the clay tiles 100 years. When you take into account the cost of the scaffold to replace the plastic when it fails, you really want the longest life span you can afford, but I agree that the difference in this case makes it a close thing. Have you asked about a continuous aluminium dry verge? Kytun do a brown aluminium dry verge that will last longer than the PVC (50 years+).
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1
