Amazon - Product discrepancy not being rectified.

Been 10 days now since i first alerted Amazon to a product that changes colour when you add it to your basket.

Red-Style B in XXL goes in to the basket as Black. 
I reported it on the live chat and was told it will take 2 days to resolve, 3 days later no resolve.
Went back on chat and told all manner of things, transferred to a supervisor who again said 2 days to resolve. I also emailed the exec office complaining how long it is taking to resolve the misinterpretation of a product i,e advertising it one colour, but send out a different colour.
The next day i had the same response, 2 days to resolve. 
It's now been 10 days since i first informed Amazon and i'm still unable to order the product as the issue hasn't been rectified.
I can't help but think that if this was a price discrepancy rather than a description one, would it be resolved a lot sooner? I'm something priced at £1 instead of £100 would get sorted a lot quicker. 
It's a shame there is no further escalation i can make, Amazon are making it very clear that they have little interest in resolving this.

    What happens if you order black ... does it go into your basket as red?

    No sadly it goes in as Black. 
    Although it's all sizes of red that go in to the basket as black. 
    There is a choice of 14 different colours and styles. 
    Just don't understand why Amazon wouldn't want to rectify this to save on returns. I feel this is one they want to brush under the carpet. Perhaps they have too many product in black and this helps shift them lol

    I wouldn't be surprised if you added the red one and ordered it you actually get the right one in red. If you add the red one it shows a picture of the red one and if you add the black if shows a picture of the black in the basket.
    So even though they are both described as black there is obviously some difference for them to show the different images and this difference will problem mean a different item is actually sent out for each of them and it's just an incorrect description.

    Personally i would just order it and you can easily return it for free if the wrong one does come.

    That's what i was going to do in ordering and return if it was black. 
    But Amazon have confirmed twice now, it would be black i receive.
    I'm in no hurry, pretty much the same as Amazon lol

    Doubt this is one of their best or high selling items so probably not a priority in their eyes to fix.
