    As above. I'd be far more concerned that you've potentially lost another 3 to 8 years warranty on the boiler because the installer/vendor failed to register it, and probably failed to have an annual service, in which case that also voids the warranty.
    It speaks volumes about the vendor's general attitude to maintenance.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    I’ve asked if the owner could contact the company that installed the boiler and see if they would retrospectively get the building regs compliance certificate (as I realise another installer would be reluctant to do it) and wait to hear. That might be a long shot but I thought it was worth asking (if he can remember who did it).
    The owner said it’s not under warranty (answered no on the Property Information Form). However, said it was serviced each year but didn’t volunteer evidence, so I’m not sure about that.
