Missed payments on credit file

Did you make August's payment? They stated you can have upto 3 months holiday, and your credit file will not be affected.

However, if you did not pay in August, then that would have been 4 months of missed payments. There is no chance of arguing that all 4 months were an official 'payment holiday' because their terms are quite clear that it can only last for upto 3 months, and so at least one of those missed payments would be expected to show on your credit file.

If you did pay in August as normal, then there is still the issue of whether May was agreed by them or not based on that chat, but at least you would only have missed 3 payments, which gives you a better chance of success in your complaint.

I did make the payment in August. Bizarrely, I’ve just check my Equifax credit file and can see for this Santander loan account that a missed payment has been recorded for April. I have checked my bank and confirmed that April was paid. I’ve contacted Santander and they say they have no knowledge of a missed payment for April. Confused.com 🤯

God I hate dealing with Santander. They are worse than useless sometimes.
