Ryanair Travel Insurance

We have purchased Ryanair Insurance. And on review at General Exclusions for all sections it says that cover is excluded for travel against FCO Advice and Claim’s related to Covid 19 causes.  Not worth paper it is printed on. 
Has anyone purchased the same insurance and agrees with our interpretation

Only specialist policy cover for travel against FCO advice even in normal times... the difference is obviously the FCO are advising against 90% of countries right now.

Covid 19 exclusion is obviously not surprising... probably add a 0 to the end of the premium if you wanted a material policy that covered it given the current travel conditions

Not sure what you expected - obviously you're not going to get anybody offering reasonably-priced insurance that provides full cover against COVID-related problems.

It's tempting to be flippant and ask what you expected from Ryanair travel insurance. Just be grateful that they don't charge you an extra £50 if you want not to be punched in the face by Michael O'Leary.

But yes, both of those exclusions are fairly standard. No standard travel insurance policy covers travel against Foreign Office advice, and a few insurers do cover Covid related disruption, but you have to look quite hard for them (try Trailfinders), and pay extra given that such disruption is very likely to happen.

Even hiscox don't cover Covid related issues, and their a premium provider.
