Claiming government question

My husband made redundant last week , been offered new job which hes accepted at different company today. He has to claim all his money Redundancy , PILON and holidays and such from the government , As he has been lucky in finding another job so quick will his money be affected and reduced by this. ? All told just the redundant money stood at over £14k alone
