Question about awkward BTs

OK so I'm coming to an end of a 9 month MBNA 0%BT offer. (One for which they also gave me a free DVD player - sweet!)
Now I'm wanting to apply for another card and switch - MBNA don't allow BT's from other MBNA cards, and I understand that the Virgin card is managed by MBNA...
My point...
My question is, would it be worth me BTing my current balance over to my accucard (which is no longer free) in order to transfer it back to a virgin card (noting that I'm not guaranteed to be accepted for the virgin card!)?
Hope this is clear, if so could someone please help

Welcome to my world - it's strange and dark and scarey!

You could do so, but you might get hit with one month's interest charges if you didn't time it perfectly. Of course, if you got declined by Virgin, you could end up paying a lot more than one month's interest.
There are other 0% BT cards on the market, so you don't need to restrict yourself to a Virgin CC. Don't forget that your next card doesn't have to be a SBT card.

But you would need to keep a card that allows you to do SBT - like the MBNA. Halifax is 0% for 10 months and M&S is 0% for 9 months, just got both myself, neither charge a fee and M&S allows you to do a 100% BT.2p off is still 2p off!0 -

What I meant was - that if the original poster just wanted to keep the existing credit card debt and to roll it on to another card, then that card doesn't have to be a SBT card. If he wants to move more money from credit cards into a bank account then, of course, he would need to keep an SBT card.

Sorry Clariman, I knew you meant that (would have probably worded it the same myself!) but was just making it clear for the OP2p off is still 2p off!0

Halifax is 0% for nine months on purchases and balance transfers.0
