  • I think somebody ought to change the title of this thread in all fairness to Argos.

To be fair to the OP, they posted this thread before the cooker arrived and when they were led to believe that it wouldn't arrive today as agreed. I agree they took a knee-jerk reaction though rather than simply waiting until 7pm before loading the gun.

But if the OP had not had some weird and unfounded premonition that the cooker would not arrive today (what was that all about?) they wouldn't have contacted Currys in the first place and wouldn't have had any reason to worry...

And I don't understand why the OP said that Currys live chat had "no record" of his/her order when they clearly did have a record of it, because they thought it was going to be delivered two days later.

If the OP hadn't contacted Currys for no reason (at all), there'd have been nothing to worry about.

Not surprised Currys had no trace of the order
I ordered a cooker from Argos and in the email from them and in my Argos account, it said it would be delivered and installed on Wednesday 9th September 2020.

Maybe they meant Curry is what they are having for tea. Now it's arrived.🤣🤦‍♀️

    Hi

I went on live chat and they have no details of it being delivered today. I went on twitter and the conversation I started was never completed once I've given my details. I have given them the order number and my details and they are not doing anything to resolve this issue. I've had no response. I have paid for a cooker to be delivered and installed and have not received the service or goods, as well as allocating the day to stay in to be here between 7am and 7pm.
    I feel duped by Argos.

I tried their customer service help line, but they only deal with smaller items. The man said he would put me through to the relevant department. I waited and was cut off before anyone answered. I now want a full refund, as I have not received the goods or service. But how do I get that back off a company that won't engage with paying customers with accounts and order details?

What should I do? Any ideas would be appreciated.

You really came on here to complain that in the middle of times given for delivery, it hadn't arrived and you want your money back? And then it was actually delivered on the day they said?
I'm not sure I could live the adrenaline filled life you lead.
  • Shocker as product scheduled to arrive on a certain day arrives on that day

The OP now has a legit complaint that it was delivered without a text message giving a one hour slot (or one hours notice).
Mercifully, no nuns or kittens were harmed as a result, so compo will be minimal.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
