Overseas holiday

I have a holiday booked to Vietnam in November which I book in February 2020. I have been told by my travel agent that I can not cancel the holiday as Emirates are still flying there, even though Vietnam have suspended all visa's from the UK. If I am unable to get a visa how am I meant to travel there, don't know what I should do about this.

You need to look at your insurance policy. Basically your trip has been curtailed and you have to abandon your trip. Also, if where you are going is closed, you can claim most likely. Have a look at what your insurance policy states and come back here when you have don't that and we (collectively) can help I am sure.0

Did you have a visa already that was cancelled? As Vietnam is on the FCO exemption list, travel insurance unlikely to help.
Things could well change before your travel date
