Hi, So I’ve booked to go to Thorpe park using the 2for1 promotion that they have available currently. However, the requirement to use the 2 for 1 promotion is to use national rail on the day to get to Staines. Do they check for train tickets on the day or can we just go through? Has anyone used the promotion recently and did the members of staff at Thorpe park ask to see evidence of train tickets? Any advice/help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Have used it at Thorpe Park, and similar offers at ZSL etc. Historically it was never checked and they just scanned the voucher but the last few times its probably about 75% of the time that they have asked to seen a ticket.

Not sure for Thorpe Park but certainly for ZSL there are people posting online the cheapest appropriate ticket you can buy so that you have something to flash even if you arrive using a different mode of transport (ie buy a pair of £3 train tickets that terminate at the station near the attraction that you dont use, arrive by taxi but show the train ticket to get discounted entry). One issue can be ticket barriers that swallow your ticket on exit though if you do turn up by train!
