Now I've read it, it looks like they bought the whole company and not just the customer base. The only thing that should change is the company name on the bills. If it does go down hill then the fact there are no exit fees will be a blessing.

As I said ,God help them if Together Energy try to integrate the new customers into their already failed "new" billing system.
  • They've bought:

    • Customers
    • Frontline Staff
    • The 'Bristol Energy' brand
    • The systems (including billing systems)

So basically, nothing should really change.

The only difference is that instead of Bristol City Council wasting loads of money, it'll be Warrington Borough Council instead spending tax payers money to cover the losses.

But at least a better result than the RHE debacle-the staff all kept their jobs.
Interesting to see that BE had a bigger customer base with it's single brand than RHE did across 10 brands.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Does this mean if your are currently midway through a fixed contract with Bristol Energy, you are now entitled to leave the contract early?

  • I was a customer of Bristol Energy for a year and their customer service was excellent. Their bills were so easy to understand and they billed using my readings for the whole year I was with them.  Joing them was a doddle as it is with most energy companies but it was also really easy to leave them for another supplier. They produced a final bill quickly and refunded my credit straight after.  All in all a very pleasant experience.

I was lured away by Tonik Energy or should that be Toxic Energy and regret that every day since their billing upgrade. They still can't manage to get my bills right and I have not had a bill from them for over 2 month. As soon as my bills are up to date, I'm leaving.  I'm on here because I considered returning to Bristol and decided to see what their customers were saying about them. I guess I will have to look elsewhere. Octopus is also under consideration. I best check they are still in business.
