Providing proof of deposit

How are you suppose to provide proof of deposit when it can go back years from when you are saving me and my partner are putting down a big deposit which she’s accumulated since she’s started work going back 5 years ago. And I’ve also been saving money from my wage and shares within the company but I left that company at least 2 years ago. How far back do they want us to go? to the exact point we started saving?

I think just 3 months bank statements should be ok. That’s why my broker asked for and probably will be the same with solicitors.0

They need to show a growth of savings. The whole thing is farcical but its a hoop to jump through.0

Its a money laundering requirement. Just jump through the hoops like everyone else.Carl2510 said:
What if that doesn’t show the amount you are giving? Does it not matter as long as it shows the money In there?shakAFC said:I think just 3 months bank statements should be ok. That’s why my broker asked for and probably will be the same with solicitors.0 -
