This is a development of a previous discussion thread.
We are due to go on holiday next week, booked through Loveholidays.
The FCO advises not to travel. We have heard nothing from Loveholidays
My wife, in whose name we have the booking, has been trying to get through to Loveholidays all day and she is absolutely distraught.
I keep saying that if the FCO advises against travel (which it has), then we cannot go.
Yet my wife is convinced that if we don't get in contact with Loveholidays, and the holiday is not cancelled by them, then we lose everything.
What do we do????

Love Holidays is one of two operators not following ABTA guidelines. This means if you are flying to Spain or Portugal and you cancel because of FCO advice they will not refund the flights unless the airline does. The big problem appears to be Ryanair who never refund if the flight operates. If it is not to Spain and Portugal then your holiday may be cancelled by Love itself and that entitles you to a full refund. As to how to contact them, it seems no one knows judging by the endless questions here. I would try an email so you have proof of attempting to contact them or if you live in London pop down to their office in Hammersmith! (although it maybe they are all working from home, so could be a waste of time) They do say they will contact customers 7 days before travel, so maybe you are next on their list?

It would probably have made sense to have continued the other thread rather than starting a new one, not least because the other one clarifies that it's not a package holiday booking and therefore falls outside the regulations governing those.  If it's just a hotel that you've booked, and it's open (have you checked?), then you wouldn't be entitled to a refund on the basis of FCO advice if you chose not to go.

In the other thread you said three days ago that "We are due to go in a few weeks time", so you'll probably need to be patient as Loveholidays, like others, will be dealing with customers in departure date order....
