How to find car reg with partial reg

just had a car hit mine only got make nissan 
Model Quashci
Partial reg VH60  then looked like ydy but isnt ! 
Any help gratefully received

There will probably be loads of Qashqai with the number VH60 then three letters. It'll take a while to work through all the possibilities!

It was while i was puckinv my grandson up from school so will more than likely see the car tomorrow,  if they had stopped and said sorry instead of just driving off i wouldnt be so cross . My car is only 3 weeks old and now has a nice black mark on it ( my caes white !) Total rudeness .
Oh well will have to confront them tomorrow

Knowing the colour will assist narrow it down.
Then use one of the online tools.  I would try rate driver.  Start with the letters you might sensibly mistake for YDY, so V, O, etc.

24 x 24 x 24 = 13,824 VH60xxx combos. I and Q aren't used... And Qashqows were one of the UK's best selling cars at the time. Good luck. Even if you find one that you think might match, prove it was the right one.

lets be honest. the chances are if they know they hit your car (and faced with an insurance claim) they will park a few streets away for the next couple of weeks.
worth having a quick drive round.
