Morning everyone, 

Sun breaking through the clouds.......not sure which win!

Have finished my packing except for my phone, tablet and chargers they will go in the morning.

DS2 and his partner are coming back from Kerry today, they will leave me to hospital on their way to the airport to return to London

Ruby.......cheesy bean pie sounds great.......I have serious problems getting anyone to eat beans and I love them.

Not sure if I have WiFi in hospital......may be missing for the duration, keep safe

Wishing you well for the operation MM - hospitals tend to have WIFI though it's not too wonderful.  The one I was in recently was good for surfing but not for emails which weren't allowed in or out, luckily the 4g on the phone worked.

My garage bloke ordered the wrong tyres so my trip was not productive, I'm going back on Wednesday.  Not that anything is wasted!

Morning all! Quick one from me [ is this possible I hear you ask?] Been up, discovered car battery was flat, probably after the MOT in Friday when they checked the lights and left something on, walked to docs, had blood test, walked back, spied a bramley apple tree and filled my pocketses, apple and blackberry crumble will be coming up, took battery out of car and it's now on charge with the WM on. Phoned chimney sweep to book that. OH is going to be painting my trough for a water feature today [ second coat] and I will be rationalising rubbish in the house.Made the picallili yesterday and the jam so that's most of the preserving done this year and I was quite pleased all my own veg bar onions were in the pickle. No cauliflower since I wasn't going to buy when I had kohlrabi, beans, sweetcorn and green tomatoes to go in. It made about 8 normal jars and one massive jar so cold meats will be interesting this year. It actually tastes lovely as it is now but it needs to mature for a month.

Right, must be away to do stuff, so stay safe you lovely people and good luck with the op meanmarie. Nanny, I did the lawn Saturday but the strimmer cable ran out so I  [heinous crime!] didn't do the edges

I decided I had to make the best of my enforced time at home and have decided to go round all the hotspots, so I have shredded a load of old paperwork that I collected at the start of lockdown and didn't finish Next is the top of the cupboards at the side of the chimneys that tend to be a dumping ground, I've made a start there but need a cuppa now!

It's a wet day today , I'm thinking either fish & chips or sausage and mash for tea.

Well it was as hard trying to book a vets appointment as it was getting a GP one.  Monday NEXT week! I hope she stays on an even keel until then and doesn't get any worse. Poor puss cat.

Today's weather didn't obey the forecast. We have had lots of showers and it doesn't feel too warm either. I never got to Dunelm after all either as DD said she wants to go on Thursday as she is off work, so instead I tripped along the valley bottom to the next little town along and bought some bits from Home B's, Poundland and the Co-op instead. I know how to live it up! x

Mr Fix It rang this morning for an injection appointment, took ages to get through first thing and then poor receptionist kept apologising for keeping him waiting while she dealt with someone in person at the desk. Seems she was run off her feet.

There are murmurings of a lockdown in the borough over the mountain as they had 28 more cases reported yesterday, trouble is it connects with ours in several places and ours cases have started to creep up too
